Stylized Ork Sculpt done in Blender based on the amazing concept art by: Nicola Saviori. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/DLZBqG
This is a pretty well known concept piece and I realize many have attempted this already, but I wanted to still give it a shot and translate it to 3d in my own way.
I've been learning Blender so part of this is practice and getting some reps in. It was also important to me to try and make the model hold up from all angles to some degree while maintaining a high level of accuracy to the concept. I also always try to avoid painting heavy lighting into my models because it breaks the illusion of 3d when you do that. So a bit of a balancing act minimizing lighting in the base color while trying to invoke the painterly style without the use of fancy value bracketing in the renderer. This is just a simple cycles real-time render here. As the title says, everything done in Blender except the texture work was done in Substance Painter, and Uv's done in RizomUV.
As usual, my "beauty render" is doctored up a good amount with a bit of compositing and minimal paintover, but everything else you see here is unedited straight from Blender viewport. I made turntable videos, real-time demo as well as making of video to help demonstrate this isn't smoke and mirrors here. I love the iterative workflow of working in Blender for something like this.
Anyway, I hope you like it, feel free to ask questions if you have them!
