Cartoon Robot

This is a little project inspired by the amazing work of Jesse Carpenter: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/ZGO60 Ive also included an image of the concept he created below. Sometimes when I see 2d art like this I can't help myself to sculpt it out and try to push that comic book feel. In this case I wanted to do everything in zbrush, and leverage the npr rendering. Ive messed around with zbrush's npr rendering in the past but never made a high quality image with it before. I have to say it went really smoothly, I definitely recommend trying it out! I also made a little demo video to show there isn't really any crazy smoke and mirrors going on here with post processing. Its pretty much rendered right to final result with the push of a button there in zbrush. I originally wasn't planning on detailing it this much but of course got a little carried away with it because I was having fun. It was also nice because there is a lot of implied detail in the concept and it was nice to sorta workout what I thought that might be. No uv's on this, just simple polypaint and render. Oh and I gave him a teddy bear, lol. Hope you like it, thanks for looking!
